Stewards of Children is an evidence-informed training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for parents, youth serving organizations, and other concerned individuals. Child sexual abuse happens in Columbus, GA, so learn the facts.

Join us for a 2-hour video-based training in which you will hear from survivors and professionals working in the field as they discuss how to better protect children. Each participant will receive an interactive workbook and participate in a facilitator-led group discussion. CEU’s provided: LPC, LCSW, POST, CLE, EMS, Nurses, & Early Childhood, with Certificates provided to all participants.

Every year 300,000 children are vulnerable to sexual exploitation in the U.S. and in the state of Georgia an estimated 400-500 girls are sold for sex monthly. This is a $32 Billion Dollar Industry. Children who have been sexually abused, are runaways, have access to social media, and those in our foster care system are at a greater risk.

Micah's Promise is a local ministry fighting domestic minor sex trafficking since 2014, through prevention and awareness education and are currently in the capital campaign phase of raising $1,500,000.00 to build a therapeutic treatment facility for girls 12-17 who have been victimized through commercial sexual exploitation. Micah's Promise mission is to provide transformational life change to survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) in a therapeutic setting and build a supportive community for reintegration.

Join the Junior League of Columbus and Micah’s Promise October 1st for an open discussion on the critical need to fight the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children❣️

An estimated 200-300 girls are trafficked daily in Georgia and represent most counties in the state. No community is immune to the recruitment or coercion for sex trafficking. 

Micah’s Promise is fighting against the commercial exploitation of children through prevention and awareness education. Join us for an open discussion and learn how you can help. This meeting is open to the community. Note, this topic is not suitable for children younger than 14.
